Ron Fowler

Ron Fowler

Funeral Director

Ron Fowler is the General Manager of Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. He is a Missouri Licensed, Funeral Director and Preneed Agent. 
Ron is a native of Butler County graduating in 1975 from Naylor High School. After High School he received a certificate in Radio Broadcasting from Washington University in St. Louis.  In 1992 Ron obtained his Missouri State Funeral Director’s License. Ron has been with Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home since its opening in 2008.  Ron has diligently assisted the families of Southeast Missouri during their time of need for over 30 years.
Ron has been active in Christian radio in the Poplar Bluff area for many years, emceeing many local concerts, events and has worked with well-known recording artists.
Ron is married to the former Joyce Venable and they reside in Poplar Bluff. Ron and Joyce worship together at the Palace of Praise Church.  Ron loves to spend time with his family, working in the yard with Joyce, Golfing with his son Todd and playing with his grandchildren Dawson and Lillie.

Dora Burns

Funeral Director in charge

Dora Burns is a licensed embalmer, funeral director and preneed insurance agent.  She was born and raised in Poplar Bluff, graduating Poplar Bluff High School in 1995. She attended Three Rivers Community College (TRCC) before going to mortuary school.  In 2003 she graduated from St. Louis Missouri Mortuary program with her funeral directors license.  Dora was awarded the Missouri Funeral Directors Association (MFDA) scholarship both years of her schooling.  In 2004 Dora was awarded her embalmers license for the State of Missouri.  In 2018 she became a licensed  pre need insurance producer for the State of Missouri.
Dora got her start at a funeral home in St. Louis, while attending mortuary school.  She came home to Poplar Bluff and split her apprenticeship between two local funeral homes. In 2007 she became a licensed funeral director and embalmer with Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home.
She and her husband, Bryan, have been married for nineteen years and have a 13 year old son, Dominik and a 6 year old son, Mark.  The Burns’ served as foster parents in Butler County for seven years.  They both are proud members of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, where Dora is active in service.
She enjoys the kids, boating, and fishing when the occasion presents itself.  Above all she enjoys serving the Lord and her community.
