Larrie Lavan Richie

Larrie Lavan Richie, 78, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on Saturday, May the 10th, 2025 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Richie was born on December 30, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late John H. and Flora L. (Baker) Richie. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served abroad and in the Vietnam War Era. He Retired from The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Decedent Affairs Officer. Mr. Richie was a member of Central Baptist Church since his youth. He enjoyed bike riding and exploring in his younger days but later in life he enjoyed the simply pleasure of being a homebody.

He is survived by siblings (Six Brothers): Donald Richie of Colorado Springs, Howard and Dale Richie of Beloit Wisconsin, Jerry, Michael and Perry & June Richie all of Poplar Bluff, MO. Honorary Daughter (Niece)/Son in Law: Johnny and Charmane (Richie)-Taylor of Poplar Bluff, MO. And a Special Friend Jetta Williams of MO. And his partner or (Ride or Die) Anthony Youngblood of Poplar Bluff, MO.  Along with a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews too.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; John H. Richie Jr., brother and his wife; Glen and Beatrice Richie, sister; Claudette Kenney-Richie, and baby brother; Frederick K. Richie.

Visitation will begin at 10:00AM (Family/Close Friends) All others 11:00 Saturday, May the 31st 2025 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff MO, followed by the funeral Service at 12:00PM (Noon) with the Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Interment with full Military honors will be at the Poplar Bluff Cemetery.
